"We don't want to talk about it ....."

Maybe we should. We did not count on retiring and taking care of our parents, but we are. The emotional stress can be overwhelming. Our parents deserve the best in their last years, but, the best costs a lot of money. Money Mom and Dad do not have. That puts a big strain on our retirement .... how do we live our retirement life and have funds when we need care? And what about our children? What will they have to sacrifice to take care of us? We need a plan, but this is a very uncomfortable family conversation. No one wants to talk about the "end of retirement". We need help.
